Retained Airflow Support
A named engineer who already knows your estate.
Retained support and staff augmentation
Many estates are run by one to four data engineers who also have a warehouse, a backlog and a roadmap. Retained support puts a senior Airflow engineer alongside them.
What it covers
- On-call backup for nightly DAG failures. Someone who knows the estate picks up when a run fails, finds the cause and fixes it or hands it back with a clear diagnosis.
- Routine upgrades. Minor-version and provider-package upgrades on a regular cadence, so the estate never drifts back into the position that made a big migration necessary.
- DAG review. New DAGs reviewed against standards we agree with your team: idempotency, retries, pools, secrets handling and test coverage.
- Onboarding. Pairing with your engineers so knowledge of the estate does not live in one person's head, ours included.
How it works
A named engineer, an agreed number of hours, and a shared channel. Billed hourly as staff augmentation; the scope is set in an initial conversation and revisited as the estate changes.
Retained support is also how a migration ends well: the engineer who did your cutover can stay on through stabilisation. Talk to us.
Tell us what your estate runs on and what is hurting. The first conversation is with the engineer who would do the work.
